Terms and Conditions A corn House Boarding Kennels and Cattery aims to
offer the best standard of care for your dogs and cats and we promise to use
all reasonable endeavours to provide a suitable boarding for your dog(s) and
cat(s) based on information provided by our clients in the booking form. By
agreeing to use Acorn House Kennels and Cattery services through completion of
the booking form and payment of the booking deposit, customers agree to the
following terms and conditions.
Payment Terms
All fees are payable on arrival or
minimum 24hrs prior collection.
Payment may be made by bank
transfer, cheque, or cash.
For all advance bookings we
require minimum of £30 deposit per animal, per each 7 days booked.
Price charged per day, not per
night.
We reserve right to revise our
prices when necessary. All prices quoted will be at the rate prevailing at the
time of booking. All prices charged will be at the rate prevailing at the time
of boarding.
Our peak times are: Summer term,
Easter holidays, Xmas holidays, Bank holidays and Half terms.
During these times we are always oversubscribed
and therefore unable to offer discounts other than our normal multiple
occupancy discounts.
There will be and extra charge applied for boarding over
Xmas, Boxing and New Year’s Day.
Refunds
We do not give cash or credit/debit card
refunds on any deposits made if cancellation of boarding becomes necessary. If
cancellation made minimum 10 days prior boarding date, we apply full refund of
the deposit as a credit for future booking. During our peak periods we do not
give credits for shortened stays.
Disclosure
Customers agree to provide Acorn
House kennels and cattery with full and detailed information about their dog(s)
or cat(s). In particular, the customer undertakes to make full and frank
disclosure on the booking form of any matter, fact, or characteristic concerning
their animal(s) which might impact on the care of their pet including , but not
limited to , behavioural or health matters, anti-social behaviour including
aggression, separation anxiety, destructive
behaviour ,excessive pulling on the lead, propensity to run away on
walks or from home/garden, incontinence, phobias or fears, excessive loud
barking or whining etc.
Acorn House Boarding kennels and cattery reserves the right
to decline to care for any dog or a cat we consider to be visibly unwell at the
time of arrival.
Contact
We will not contact you regarding
your dog/cat unless they aren’t eating their food or fall ill whilst with us
and require veterinary attention.
We are happy for you to contact us via telephone or email
for updates during your pets stay.
Aggression
For the safety of our members of staff,
unfortunately we are unable to board dogs with aggressive, anti-social
behaviour towards humans.
The customer further agrees that if their dog attacks
another dog or a person causing injury to that dog or a person, they will be
responsible for any losses incurred as a result including, but not limited to,
payment of veterinary fees in respect of injuries to another animal caused by
their dog.
Insurance
Owners must be responsible for
having their own pet insurance.
Any vets’ fees incurred for treatment of pre-existing
conditions must be settled by the owner at the time of collection. If the
animal is at the vets’ any outstanding veterinary fees must be settled prior to
removal. Owners or the emergency contact will be contacted if possible,
prior to any treatment given.
Animal gets Injured or sick.
If the above should arise, then your dog/cat will be removed
( if sick only ) and put into Isolation. If Vet treatment is required: we will call
owner immediately or the emergency contact if the owner isn’t contactable and
consent must be given. Any treatment or preventative treatment will be given by
a competent member of staff.
Abandoned Animals
If any dog is not collected, or the owner or emergency
contact have not contacted Acorn house kennels and cattery office within 7 days
after the due collection date stated on the booking form, it will be considered
that the animals have been abandoned and we reserve the right to place the dog/cat
with an animal charity. Any costs incurred will be responsibility of the owner.
Inoculations
All dogs/cats must be fully
inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus, Para Influenza and Leptospirosis
and must have had booster injection within the previous twelve months. Canine
Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough) must be given minimum of 14 days prior to
boarding. We are very strict on this policy, however, please remember the
strain of vaccine administered can’t always guarantee your dog will not get a
slight case of KC. If you are concerned for your dog, then please take to your
vet ASAP.
We also request that your dog/cat has recently been
treated for Fleas and Worms.
Dog/cat food
Dog/Cat food must be brought unless you chose option where
we provide food. We prefer your own food to be brought as a change in diet can
give your pet an upset stomach.
Belongings
Everything your dog/cat requires
for his/her stay at Acorn House Kennels and Cattery is provided.
Any belongings brought and accidently
damaged by the dog are under owners’ risk. Belongings that can be brought with
your dog are: Bedding (Old blankets/Towels, or own bed) If soiled bedding or
own bed is too big to fit in domestic washing machine, we will not be able to
wash it. The kennels are cleaned out every day and all bedding will be washed if
they get soiled or wet except for the leaving day of your dog/s as we cannot
guarantee that it will be washed and dried in time for collection!!
We don’t accept squeaky toys or damaged toys which can be a
risk of choking or parts eaten. We request that only 1 toy is brought.
Bath service
We do offer bath service and trimming nails service at the
kennels, so if you require this service, we ask that you book this when booking
your dog/s boarding or on drop off. There is 10% discount from bath service for
dogs who are boarding. You do NOT need to be boarding with us, to use this
service!!!
Opening Hours (due to Covid, by appointment only)
Monday to Saturday – 9am to 5.30pm, lunch break 12pm-1.30pm
Sunday – 9am to 12pm
During Winter times we work on short opening hours.
We are closed for customers on Christmas day and New Year's day.
Viewing times: 9.30am- 11.30am or 1.30pm-3.30pm, Weekends by
appointment only.
Whilst every care has been taken to ensure the safety of
their dog/cat, the owner does not hold Acorn House Boarding Kennels and Cattery
or any of their representatives liable for any incidents, accidents or issues
that arise from using this facility.
